On my father’s side our family lived in a small village on Songhees territory that was made up of First Nations women and Metis men. My family lineage is through Cecilla and her husband Nicholas (Joseph) Auger.
I’m the mom of four and Kokum of five. My sons are Lil’wat Nation and three of my grandbabies are Secwépemc.
My husband, Ashanti Tribe (West Africa), and myself live as guests on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Secwepemc Nation.
